On June 22, 2006 the Superior Finance Administration in Germany published a directive concerning LASIK treatment and income tax: The costs accrued from laser procedures of the eye are to be recognised as extraordinary costs, because they are health care costs. A special certificate from your physician is not necessary (AZ: S-2284 A -St 32 3).
